Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of people like you. The charity distributes these shoes to people in need, regardless of race, religion, class, or any other criteria. Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away nearly 12 million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently donating one pair every 7 seconds.) The shoes have been distributed to people in over 125 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States.

The holiday season is upon us again and Mercy is asking for your partnership to help make the holiday’s what it has always meant to be- sharing the love of Christ to the people God has placed in our care. Please look through the following list of events we have planned and see where the Lord is calling you to give this year.

A Christmas to Remember
In partnership with other non-profit agencies, we provide a Christmas party (scheduled for December 11th for patients of Mercy and the community. It is a festival for the entire community sharing with them the true meaning of Christmas. We provide the food, music, toys, and games. We need volunteers for this day, so please call and sign up. The rewards of being involved in helping children and families cannot be measured by tangible means; nevertheless, the rewards are great. If you are interested in helping out and are wondering how you can find a rewarding way to get involved and help children and families, contact our office at 615-790-0567 ext 291.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) ministries in the United States provide an in-residence rehabilitation program with a focus on basic necessities. Each program participant receives a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, spiritual direction and the resources needed to develop life skills and a personal relationship with God.

Following God's command to love our neighbor as ourselves, the Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to help the hurting of Middle Tennessee by offering food, clothing and shelter to the homeless and recovery programs to those enslaved in life degrading problems. Our goal is to help people know the saving grace of Jesus, and through Him, gain wisdom for living, find fulfillment in life and become a positive part of their community.
